Lucy assists faculty members with locating grant opportunities and finding collaborators and resources at UVA and beyond. Prior to joining Research Development in 2024, Lucy was the Research Data & Scholarly Communications Librarian at the UVA Health Sciences Library, where she supported faculty members in creating data management plans, adhering to NIH data sharing and public access policies, publishing, and measuring the impact of their scholarship. She holds a B.A. in Art History and English from UVA and an M.S. in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to becoming a librarian, she was an appraiser of entertainment memorabilia for an international auction house and the manager of a private collection of modern Chinese art. She enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, visiting museums and gardens, and going to Charlottesville's great farmer's markets.
